Book Inspiration

While looking at the books displayed in class in week 5, we found inspiration form quite a few of them.

We liked the graphic style displayed in these books and we think that we could incorporate them into our designs, considering that nexus (at&t) is a technology/ telecommunications company. The graphic lines and shapes are something that we can play with if we are wanting to include the 'X' into our project. Sharp lines and bold colours can help nexus look more professional but we don't want it to look too overpowering or threatening.

We found this book ('What Do People Do All Day?') interesting because we thought we could incorporate this style of imagery (cutting the face of buildings to show the interior) with  our 'the next step' hub. This style also would work in a timeline or journey map for our project.

These books contained witty images and branding which we could use in our advertising in the second project. We think that wit and comedy would work well in the New Zealand market because that is what we (the New Zealand people) are used to in our media/ advertising. We admire the 'Fedex' logo and the way the 'E' and 'x' create a forward facing arrow. We could incorporate something like this into our project if we continue with the 'X' idea and forming shapes and minor ideas/ ideologies which come of our main logo.
